DNATURE

Our client required a breakout space that was lush and provided some relief from the day to day within the office. The final design needed to have some Japanese styling so we proposed a NZ / Japanese hybrid design which stuck.

The site went from a wasteland of tall weeds and concrete to a multileveled garden space filled with bamboo that provides shelter and screening from the neighbours, large boulders with ground covers surrounding, and a beautiful large feature tree, the Cercis Canadensis 'Forest Pansy'. Different ground treatments provide interest in this small space. We look forward to seeing an artist paint a huge mural on the large block wall to the southern side of the courtyard soon.
